Yeah its a good idea. I'm a Focus owner.

I've been buying heaps of UK stuff from UK Ebay. My biggest problem is the transport back to OZ, so I have deliberately limited my buys to small items such as interior lighting and the like. These have all come across using Royal Mail small packets labels, which are cheap. Most I've paid is about AUD$22.00 so far for (2) x XR5 fog lamp bezels.

So, as I see it, the way forward is to find out through a forwarder what the cheapest way to send stuff back here is. i.e. what sized box and what maximum weight. We wouldn't have to dodgey anything up either, as long as the seller, if done via. Ebay, included a docket/print of the transaction. That would be a lot of parts before we hit AUD$1,000.00

I am also keen on a OEM leather interior, which I can get from the UK dirt cheap. You could stuff a heap of parts around the seat covers I'm sure.

JFTR, I asked an EBAY UK seller to look in to a few parts for me. He mainly specialises in Ford parts. I have so far bought (5) things from him and he seems to be trustworthy. I guess that's why I use EBAY because you have some come back if things go pearshaped. Maybe we could draw up a list and give to him to source parts, then get him to sort a delivery cost. If that was split evenly, we'd all be ahead. (eg AUD$300 divided by 10 people)

At the very least, if your bloke, or my Ebay bloke could hold stuff for a period of time until said box is full to the brim, that would also work well. As you buy, or win stuff on EBAY, one of them could be the local address. Many sellers include free UK delivery.
