Default Re: Does anyone own a Haynes 2002-2008 Ford Fiesta repair Manual?

I have a wp fiesta haynes manual here...according to the manual,no belt tensioner is fitted to the 1.6 litre Duratec engine as the belt used is the stretch fit type(just like a giant rubber band). The only way to remove the drive belt is to cut it.New,genuine Ford belts are supplied with several special plastic tools required to fit the new belt.To gain access to belt, there is a lower drive belt cover behind drivers side front wheel which must be removed(easy to do,just unclip power steering pipe and remove the 2 retaining screws, and you may also get better access to water pump by removing the rh side headlight.Water pump removal is pretty straight forward once you have the drive belt off.
