Far NW very beautiful and quiet (even though whole place is quiet really outside festivals etc. Bay of Fires on East with the rocks you mention is spectacular - walked over and through many times.

Loved Tassie and seriously considered moving there before the kids got to high school. Settled on Gt Ocean Road area in the land of the Cats. In some ways it looks/feels like Tassie a bit - the Otways have a similar view along the coast, and similar plants in the rainforest bits. Did a lot of Tassie for work, pretty much the whole state & islands offshore, off the beaten path as well as all the towns and countryside. Great place.
