The problem is the people who aren't honest about their whereabouts eg "I told the wife I was working late but the secretary and I went out for dinner" or" The boss thought I was working but...."or "I went to meet my drug dealer"
The contact tracers just need to give an absolute guarantee of confidentiality but when it's police doing the tracing your drug dealer may not feel that he could depend on that.
