Victoria's (and subsequently Australia's) run of no deaths has come to an end with a woman in her 70's passing away today. Last recorded death was 28th October.
Interestingly the woman was diagnosed with COVID in late July, and was subsequently cleared as being COVID-free and reclassified as recovered.
The PM said: "The coroner will look at this, but our advice is that she passed away very recently. They believe the coronavirus-induced damage to her lungs has caused her to pass away, and therefore she is counted as a coronavirus death."
