WA expands vaccine rollout to over-30s

Western Australians aged 30 to 49 will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccination from Thursday, according to WA Premier Mark McGowan, as the state looks to speed up its vaccine rollout.
Premier McGowan said bookings would open today, with vaccinations to start on Thursday.
30-49 year-olds will receive the Pfizer vaccine, while WA residents aged over 50 will be given the AstraZeneca shot, said McGowan.
WA health minister Roger Cook said the state currently has access to 45,500 AstraZeneca vaccines and 107,000 Pfizer vaccines.
He expects 1.2 million more doses of Pfizer and AstraZeneca to be delivered to the state over the next eight weeks.
