Out of interest Russ, what's the correlation coefficient (r) value for that 3rd order polynomial trend in the first graph? Looking at the graph, I'd expect it be above +0.9?
I would like to know the answer to that, since I have been following Russels trend line graphs I wondered just how he done 2 or 3 a day, that's why I read em and leave a thank you!

But, I thought I got my head around it but not sure now, from what I have gleaned and I'm probably wrong anyway, but you can't create an exponential trend line if data contains zero or negative values.
In my amateurish working out I couldn't get the R squared value of +0.9 so where did I go wrong?

So what is the value?..I am interested in working this stuff out on a 8" tablet and don't have Excel or the like.
