Go to kennards and rent a blower/dehumidifier thing. Even if its not much carpet that got wet, once mould sets in it will stink. And keep it running for a bit after the carpet drys out as whatever is under weather that be wood or concrete, it will have absorbed water.

All the available towels helped the initial absorbing and heaters been running all day.
Feels good but yes, what the concrete is like underneath is still unknown....and todays inspection has been delayed annoyingly.
