Bureaucracy.

I’m trying to return a toll tag issued by the (soon-to-be) ex-wife of Crash Bunny; it was in the damaged car I bought off him. She has left the state, and judging by the odd messages I’ve received out of hours, possibly the planet.

You’d think I could walk into a service NSW office and hand it over the counter? Nooo… You can’t even turn one in as lost property! They flat-out refused to accept this tag, citing that because I acknowledged myself as a “non authorised person” they couldn’t take it from me. (I wonder if you can hand in a lost licence?)

Sure I could just throw the tag in the rubbish, but then if she closes the account a $40 deduction would be made for the missing item. That equally doesn’t sit well with my morals.
