Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.

He started by merging from the lane I was in, to an adjacent one. Had good space ahead and behind. I was watching somewhat because the van effectively blocked quite a bit of my overall view of the traffic flow, and I was moderating my progress accordingly.

As the van got to about 1/3 into the next lane, Tesla Bro raced up from behind and positioned his nose adjacent to the van’s rear quarter, effectively threatening contact - Tesla was nearly into the next lane across with this aggressive manoeuvre. Van driver backed out of merging to avoid a collision, and let the Tesla past. There was a decent gap again a few seconds later and the van driver pulled in normally behind Tesla. Traffic was slowing as it condensed for lights, and the Tesla quite suddenly braked to a dead stop.

There might have been autonomous input with respect to this braking event, but the first interaction was absolutely choice by the Model Y to aggressively intercept an otherwise safe move.

Epping Rd northbound at Macquarie Park; it’s up there with the worst roads for cut-throat traffic in Sydney, along with Anzac Br westbound in the evenings, some of the signalised westbound M4 on-ramps, Centenary Dr southbound off-ramp for the Hume and Oxford St inbound in the mornings.
