very very very important . they should be adjusted correctly for differant drivers . they are designed to stop your neck snapping. i hopped into a ford laser . didnt adjust the head rest had an accident at 90 to 100kms an hour . i got hit from behind by a car travelling very fast . dont know how fast but enough to push the back of the car up to the rear axle. my only injury was a cut to the back of my head from the headrest. luckily it was just in the right position for me. it was bent back at 90 degrees after my head bounced off it. the ambos said they cant believe my neck didn't break . thank god for headrest i owe my life to them . just abit of info that people should know about .
