Has anyone mounted an external antenna/aerial to getter better radio reception?
I live in the Adelaide Hills and have horrible static/poor reception driving between the hills and the City. Want to know if it will improve the reception before I get a hole made in the roof to mount one. Have tried a different head unit (Pioneer) and made no difference, so gone back to the stock unit. Thanks |

There's probably no reason you couldn't retrofit the Ute roof mounted antenna as the parts would be easy enough to obtain. Whether it provides better reception is a different question but I never had issues in mine and I'm further away from broadcasters than you are in the Hills.
Cheers Russ
