Does anyone know where I can buy a shaker to fit to an AU LTD.
I have read up all the posts I can find on the subject and know I am making a controversial decision... I tried Falkeen but he no longer makes them. Any ideas? Does anyone have one they are to embarrassed to fit!! My car will be an interesting project and I will post info as it happens. (If I can stick to my convictions $$$) 408 stroker, wet lpg injection, etc.

Here's a couple, the more expensive one is plastic rather then fibreglass.

You can also use a reproduction XY shaker - they're around the $300 mark from Rare Spares, AutoOne etc. Much cheaper option that does the same job. The BA ones are only that expensive because they have been customised to fit the BAs, but it wouldn't cost $1000 to customise an XY style one to fit an AU.

As said before the $1400 is plastic. All repro xy ones are fibreglass (at that price). the $700 kit on ebay would be the cheapest option, as its got everything you need to set it up, and would require minimal modifying to fit a 5.0l Au

Another dumb question from me but;
Do these shakers actualy connect to the intake system or are they just cosmetic? Just this week I had been wondering if there was a market for imitation blowers, triple carbs, ram tubes and similar muscle car motor fixtures that you could stick on your bonnet for a joke. Like the big keys that were available for the backs of volksies and "Baby On Board" notices.

they do plumb to your air filter box, but don't provide any real gains, so really they are just for looks.
