Default Need some info on e-bay please!!!??

Hey guys, lately ive been storing bits and peices in the shed which i need to get rid of , few sigma parts, and other non ford related bits.

My question is does anyone have an idea on how much e-bay charges to advertise your goods on there, and what steps should i take in opening an account with them.

Also how would i go about paying them after i have sold what i need?

Well for now that covers all my questions.

Thanks heaps......

As above, its on the site, although heaps of whats on the site is hard to find really helpful answers..

Just join. You need to give them debit or credit card details for ID, or a valid email, that is not free on the net (like hotmail or gmail), ie: ISP or employer provided.
You pay by credit card, or make a one of direct debit authorisation to your bank account each time you need to pay.
They charge a portion of the sale price, and that fee structure is tiered like the tax system, Im not sure of the exact rates. Plus you pay an initial listing fee which includes one free pic in the listing, you pay more for each frill you add.

Are Sigma parts even in demand?

eBay fees:

http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/fees.html

You can pay them using Paypal, direct deposit or VISA/Mastercard, the usual ways...

It's ALL on the site.

yea the ebay help pages arent the easiest to follow. Just type in google "ebay fees" or "ebay ***" whatever you need help on and it comes up.

I opened up a separate bank just for ebay and keep just a few $$$ in it . IF someone happens to bust the account they don't get much . If I purchase anything I just transfer the funds to that account (don't like sending C/card No's over the Net), if I sell something I leave a few extra $$ in there to cover fee's .

Much cheaper than selling at an Agents Auction (private Auction or MGS etc) , fee's at those Auctions vary from 22% to 30%.
