i bought the car new in may '06, electric orange with cloth interior & got plenty of attention from people wanting to know how it went.
left it stock for nearly 11mths then the changes started, first to go in was a set of black angel eye headlight units & some Eibach pro coil springs, the springs dropped it down 30mm a before & after comparison angel eyes at night i then gave the calipers a lick of paint i wasn't keen on the orange showing through the grille so i removed the grille & painted behind it matt black now looks much better it stayed like this for a while until today (13/10) when i got a flash tune thanks to chris at Blue power, stock @ flywheel is 166kw & 320nm, the tune is ment to take it to 201kw & 448nm. the car is way different to drive, heaps more low down acceleration. after having the tune installed i went straight to glenroy exhaust & had the resonator replaced with some pipe to get a nice note. more to come when funds permit |

Ron, orsm car there mate, love the angel eyes, suits the car much better than stock chrome ones. The only thing it needs now is a bulge!

Very nice, very nice...
I reckon DNKPWR would be feeling jealous that you've got a tune and he doesn't...!

Hey mate congrats with the car...
If l am reading this right did you get the Tune then got the exhuast changed.....if so you better go back and get a re-tune as that change will stuff up the air-fuel ratio and may cause detonation and thats not good..... Cheers Chris

G'day Jared, i have race+ installed on my focus & was wondering if using it with a de-resed exhaust will adversly affect the afr, make it run too lean causing detonation. is the afr now a fixed number, like 8 for instance or does it still have a range to work in, like 7 - 10. thanks Ron the reply...... Hi Ron the AFR has a targeted lambda of 12 to 1 afr on the ST225 using Race+. This is calculated in fuel weight terms on this vehicle from both a MAF and MAP system so changing the exhaust shouldn’t make a noticeable difference to the fuelling, if you can get more air in and out, you will get more fuel in and out, hence more power. Good luck J All the best Jared Apollonios (K.O.R) |

If I could fit the family comfortable in one of these it would have a place in my garage. Still love the look of your Ron. And its amazing how well it photographs in all conditions. Keep the mods happening.
Matt

I've very interested to see what happens to the surrounds and the grilles. I assume the rear surrounds are also getting some kind of treatment.
