This is a very illustrated story of the birth of my XR6T, I don't have many photos from when it was stock, so most are only as you see it now, but i'll fill you guys in on every little impulse mod i've had along the way.
I bought my 04 XR6 Turbo back in November 2004, it was purchased second hand with only 7000klm on it, it came with 5 speed manual, Premium sound and GT steering wheel. I had been hunting around for a turbo for a while and it had to be manual and have Premium, i really wanted white, but after months of waiting i expanded my colour choices and went for Blueprint. The car was left untouched for a while cause i was still on my P's, I had just turned 20. The day after my 21st i went out and bought so 19" ROH Vapours and had it lowered (got a Midas voucher for my 21st from my mates) with SL Rear and L front. A few months after this I had an accident, i ran up the back of a ute and the towball went through the bumper. I decided to change the look of the car and got a GT front bumper which made it look alot tougher than the standard XR one. The mesh below has since change, the bottom mesh was to small and restricted air flow and i've scince put the mighty FORD badge back on. Next thing to look at was the stereo, along the way i tried a line convertor cause i wanted it to look stock, the line convertor lasted about 2 weeks cause the quality of it was terrible and i wasn't getting the value out of all my speakers. As it is know i've got an Alpine DVD Head Unit running through the factory screen, 6.5in Infinity Perfect splits, 5x7 Infinity Reference 3 ways, 4 ch MTX and 2ch MX Monoblock running 2 x 12in Whatmough Tornado Subs all has been custom finished. Looks and stereo were now well on there way and i was getting a little bored with the performance and started work on the engine. After lloking around for a while i decided to get a package from the Horse Power Factory, this included a CAPA Flash Tuner, 42lb injectors,XR8 valve springs,Typhoon Intake and a Metal Cat.At the same time i had the clutch upgraded. WOW, what a car it had become, this thing could boogie. The bug had burried itself in deep and the next year would become very expensive.

At around this time i found Fordforums and got some great ideas and alot of helpful information.
I had been driving the car around with 250rwkw and started to get a bit bored with that so i started to chase 300rwkw. I was pointed in the direction of G&D Performance who came highly recommended and were also just down the road. I bought a Monza cooler from ACE and had it booked into G&D to get a custom tune and Walbro Fuel Pump installed. This gave me 302.4rwkw and the WOW was back, but for how long? The only performance mod I've done since then ahs been a Full Stainless Steel X-Force 3.5in Single Exhaust. The car hasn't been tuned to it's full potential cause I'm worried the T5 is getting very close to breaking point. The only thing not covered so far is the engine bay, at the time i went to ACE for the cooler i got some Pole Position Bling inc covers and hoses. In the last few months it has come down to finishing touches and trying to get everything nice and pretty and neat. Hope you guys like my car and i would appreciate any good/bad feedback.

Then this;
Was coming down Jells road,wheelers hill. Approaching the set of lights out the front of the shopping centre the lights turned yellow about 5 in that way0 metres before i got to the intersection. An old guy was waiting to turn right into the shopping centre, presuming i was going to pull up in time with the wet conditions he proceded to turn right and i T-Boned him. The police and ambulance arrived, everyone was fine, old guy was taken away as a precaution. Police took my statment and eyewitnesses and concluded that it was his fault and he should have given way. Bit of a shock to the system, very sad looking at your car in that way. Hopefully everything will get sorted out but unfortunately i'm out of Numurkah. Me and the GF will still probably come up to spend the day with the club and help out. Enjoy Life goes on.

Joel mate, very sad to see your car like this... At least no one was hurt... Last year I crashed my previous car in a same scenario. Reading your post was like deja vu... The worst part is that split second before you hit, when you realize there is nothing you can do...
On the bright side, the engine cover and dvd screens look orsm! And I'm sure she'll be back on the road soon, better than ever, maybe with some updates like BF Phoon front bar? Also, make sure they fix her up ok, lotsa dodgy repairers these days... Cheers, Bud

Thank You everybody for your heartfelt support. I will keep you all updated on the repairs and hope to be back on the scene sooner rather than later.
Probably going to go back the way it was but might be a slight change.

jeez bad news. good to see that you are alright. i think people these days are getting worse on the roads (and not just p platers). i was picking up my car from the spray painters and nearly had to send it back because this guy was on the wrong side of the road and i had to swerve to avoid him. its really out of control.
anyway. im sure we will see your car back together very soon. matt.
