Ok dumb question time... Au Ghias are supposed to have road speed dependant volume... the owners manual makes no mention of this function and my volume stays same level at any speed unless I manually alter it> Can someone explain to me how it works? :

Hi Boon,
I thought that was a function that worked with the mobile cradle. When the phone rings, the volume lowers or mutes, until you finish the call. Does the manual mention that at all? GK

Hi GK
Yes I thought this too but the manual makes referrence to "telephone mute" when talking about the cradle. But the brochure says the car has telephone mute and "road speed dependant volume" However I am looking in an Au 1.5 manual (mid 99) rather than a very early AU manual so maybe thats why no mention in the book. (As I dont have owners manual for my car) Even on True Blue website it lists it as something specific that it has!! One of lifes little mysteries I guess..... :togo:

It one of those "wow" things that looks good on the brochure but is not really anything special. It worked ok but I'm managing to struggle along without it ;) |

Yeah it is to do with volume of stereo. I know the VY clubsports had this function, and it is a joke. The faster you travel the louder the stereo becomes.

My wifes Mazda SP23 has this, mainly to drown the road noise. The difference isnt all that noticeable.

I've noticed when I drive my parents AU2 Fairmont that when you stop at the lights the volume drops a little. I find it annoying. Is there a bypass to stop it happening?? It didn't happen in my AU3 Forte when I had the stock unit in.
