Default Mondeo wagon already here???

As i was strolling through town today i saw a mondeo coming down the road and as it got closer i realised it was the station wagon model that is on show at the MMS,i did'nt even realise this had been released over here,it looked awesome in person, just strange as to why nz got it before aussie, does anyone know the reason(reasons).

The reason why we (NZ) get the wagon and Australia doesn't is because NZ got the previous generation Mondeo in all bodystyles, with the wagon being quite a popular seller. The fleet sector would have been jumping up and down if they didn't get the new wagon. The Mondeo is quite established over here compared to Australia.

My understanding is there is only something like 14 litres of space difference between the hatch and wagon. But sales reps don't want to be driving in a hatch I suppose. Once the Falcon wagon goes, they will have to import the Mondeo wagon. Not every company wants, or can afford, a Territory or the new Commodore wagon. And if it comes out as a diesel, Ford will sell a boot load.
