There's a difference between a Ford robot and a bush mechanic with his $299 MIG from supercheap.

he must have put the handbrake on after it came to a stop, then placed it in park... what a good driver! and that's why he was able to walk away.

That was built about 15 years before any robots made an appearance.

Err yeah right. Take a look at some of the factory welds on an XL-XY some time and come back and comment about "Ford Quality" from the factory.

christ! what a waste.. althouh i guess its better the car is smashed and he is alright now, then the car is smashed and he is dead later..

almost as bad as the Exa the guys at "PIMP MY RIIIIDE" went to pimp over and found the front and rear halves of the car were welded, or more appropriately stuck together with some sort of super adhesive glue.. needless to say they threw it away and gave her a brand new mustang with 22's and a chrome/green paint job

A bit mixed up between the episodes there! :P

It was actually a different episode where a Ford Escort was made up of 2 different cars. They got rid of it and bought him a Scion (one of those ridiculously boxy Toyotas). The EXA episode, they replaced it with the Stang because the EXA had no potential at all!

Holy hell. That EB/ED is a mess. Reminds me of when I took the EA into a panelbeater a few years ago to get a small patch of rust removed. There were 2 EBs there, both a complete mess, but the occupants walked away. One of them had hit 3 trees including one in the left rear door, and the other one looked like it had a head-on. The front was nearly level with the windscreen. I'm still amazed people walked away.
