thats not what he asked but what you say is true . ACL don't do an actual kit for the AU as far as i know you need to buy the gear seperatly as for price you're best to do a ring around but the parts should be under $300 for basic stuff more $ if machining is needed and the head must be machined. are you after just a decent engine or something that will go hard . if it's the 2nd option you will need pistons too and go for better quality bearings ETC for this option you would get the crank done maybe some good rods the block decked and line bored and a decent billet cam so the $$$ mount up quickly ask trick XD he might be able to advise you better

Well i want to put in the VCT engine into my AU... but was thinking about freshing up the old AU engine and put that into my ute and a basic setup.

if you just want a good fresh engine you can pick one up onder 100Ks for 400 or less
