Hi all,
I've been calling a few repco-esque places today for an off the shelf madrel-bent 2.5inch cat back for the fairlane, but no one it seems to stock them for the IRS model? Who here has one i can go buy? Cheers, Alex |

I dare say that you'll have to get one made at an exhaust shop... no biggie though. They'll be able to knock one up no worries, and then you can say its custom made...
You'll also be able to specify how you want it to sound, and they'll be able to work with that to some extent. Though if you don't have extractors they may be limited somewhat.

just be sure that the exhaust shop you go to has a mandrel bender. not all shops have one and if thats what you want, be prepared to spend extra.

the 2.5" exhaust on our fairlane was just an ordinary IRS system chopped before the diff with an extra length of pipe welded in for the LWB...

hey blackers, im in Melb, had my lane for nearly two years... she is silver on super lows all round, ten inch sub on parcel shelf - lifted on a spacer i made and covered in leather to clear the lpg tank - in place of the standard baby one, 7inch tv/dvd where the old HU used to be, new amp running the sub, tinted, switchable electric shift kit, dual fuel, ltd grill and chrome hood strip (i left the G bonnet emblem too, didnt want to look like a tool) ive installed rear parking sensors too. next step is the exhaust, getting a mandrel bent intake pipe made up and 19s or 20s (multi multi spokes, like 18+) not sure yet... oh and trying to find a 3.45 lsd from an xr8 to put in too, single spinner is too boring. And her name is "Lois"... Lois Lane ;)
Spking of which... Kr1STO is think... you have/had 20s on your lane... did you have to roll the guards or did they fit on super low profile rubber? Also are there any other suggestions on what else i should do, with in reason of course, im not slapping a turbo onto it or anything... waiting till i get a BF LTD for that Alex |

20s fit fine on SL springs
airbags would be HORN on an AU lane!! dont bother with a BF lane.. not unique at all and just get an LSD center put into your current diff(they are 3.45 anyway).. i was quoted 660 fitted for an LSD center brand new
