Hi guys, I'm looking for a good mechanic in the S.E Melb area. If any of you can recommend me someone, that would be great as the AU is a little overdue for a service.

Unless you have a major problem with your AU, you don't need a mechanic for the service. It's not like they can do a tune up (unless you have a flash tuner). All they do is plug in the computer, see what codes there are, and then (sometimes) follow the service schedule in the back of the book.
So, for a service, you just need someone who can: 1. Change the oil and filter 2. Depending on what service it is, change air filter, fuel filter, plugs, leads, radiator coolant, brake fluid, auto trans fluid etc. So your standard mobs like Ultratune, Repco, Shell Auto care, Kmart Auto etc should all do the above well enough.
