Default Speedo Sensor - wire pulled out

After some info please

The better half called up, drove the AU III over a branch at home and looks like she broke the wiring to the speedo drive. Apparently (im not home) it has busted the wires going to it

With the speedo like this, I suppose it would think its disconnected. Will there be any issues with this? Can she drive about till I get back and fix?

Cheers
