Smile Ugliest Cars I've seen lately

Hi all,

I thought it might be fun to share thoughts on cars I've seen recently which, when I passed them I thought - Crikey - That's butt ugly.

This is meant as no more than a laugh, and everyone's opinion is valid so please no sledging. My top picks for ugliest cars (let's say since the mid 60's) are, in no particular order:

1. Austin Kimberly - I saw a ute version today at work. Yuk. The sedan looked the same at the back as it did from the front.

2. Mercedes Benz CLS Class. The Ford AU Falcon squashed down and stretched. I liked the AU though.

3. Honda HRV. No explanation necessary

4. Porche Cayenne/VW Toureg. Butt ugly.

5. Suzuki Wagon R. Nasty.

6. Anything by Ssangyong.

7. BMW X6 "soft roader". What were they thinking?

It's hard not to notice that three of the seven are exotic and German. Do you think the Germans are testing us to see how ugly they can make their cars before we stop buying them?

Anyway - I avidly anticipate your Ugliest Cars lists...

Bring on the fun.

OOPS! I meant Porsche.

Also - you can Google all of these to see what you think, but beware. Your eyes may bleed.

Maybe RG is selling his AU to buy one?

A drop is suspension, S3 16" wheels, the S2/3 tail-lights and the ute grill, and it would have been a completely different car in 1998.

I've always maintained that they should have just released the Series 2 right from the start. The VT still probably would have flogged it, but not by as much, and the reputation of AU's as "the ugly model" would have been negated

I love the XD-F. XE was brilliant.

Properly looked after, I reckon the EA-D were fantastic. I don't like their interiors, but when looked after, I think they're great. If EA-D had the EF-L interior, they'd be pushing my favourite modern-day Ford.

Funny how opinions vary. I guess that's what makes life interesting.

Third that.

I also agree with the other choices, however, a kitted up XD/XE does look spectacular in contrast to its bog-stock factory version. Look at D. Johnson's XE, for example

lol.. ah the series one debate will fire up soon enough.. again.

I really dont like the current batch of toyotas. If people rant about the s1 being ugly, jezz the current toyotas really look like they asked for another round with the ugly stick.

Most modern 4 wheel drives are ugly as are alot of the mums that pick up their kids from their private schools. Speaking of 4 wheel drives, Why is is that most of the who own them are too scared to take them off bitumen where they may get slightly dirty? Doesn't that defeat the actual purpose of owning a 4 wheel drive. Oh yeah, Silly me......It's meant to be a status symbol.
Pathetic when you stop and think about it isn't it!

They should change the black ones number plate from JAB to PUNJAB. Also, I'm not so good with anagrams so hopefully someone can help me out to change the other ones number plate to read "loved by our oriental friends".
