Default Guns N' Roses

Anybody share the same love for them as me?

They were the reason I became a musician. And pretty soon I'm getting a GNR tattoo.

Civil War with its opening taken straight from Cool Hand Luke = awesome.

Not a huge huge fan as such, but I do love their more "mainstream" songs, usually its just their Greatest Hits CD I listen to, and every now & then the Illusion albums.

Mr Brownstone and My michelle are some of my favs. The Gunners are great, they also helped get me into playing guitar.

Yeah man Slash was the reason I started palyin guitar.

True dat, MR Brownstone was cool.

Sweet child o mine was the first song I learned to play.

Did you follow Slashs Snake Pit or more recently Velvet Revolver. I was a big STP fan too so Velvet are a natural progression for me.

Cheers
Matt

In my top few favorite bands, saw them when they toured a few months ago, even without Slash some of the songs made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Just wish they would finally bring out Chinese Democracy, from what I heard at the concert it's going to be a good album.

Always thought that they're overrated considering that there were many bands that I think were better back then.

At highschool Appetite for Destruction was THE album to have.

IMO nothing came close to that album after they made that.

Possibly their worst time as human beings, fighting demons/addicitions/etc - but their best output of music occured because of it.

Sorta like the Metallica thing.

Im a big fan of both (prob more Metallica).

I went and saw em in brissie, just Axl playing from originals. Free tix through a muso rep mate, we left after 25mins. SH!THOUSE. I hate it when bands split and someone uses the the bands name to DESTROY the bands rep.

Lies is a great album.

P.S. My mate has the G'n'R cross on his forearm.

Yeah, went to the Sydney show, had a great time, currently listening to 7 studio demos from Chinese democracy, most of them will be high up in the charts when the album finally comes out.

Robin Finck and Ron Thal(Bumblefoot) are both as good as slash if not better. I'm not putting Slash down at all, He's a great guitarist, but I think if you heard some of the new G N' R songs as opposed to the new VR album, alot of people will realise just how much Axl has to do with writing great songs and making quality music.

Rons got a website with samples of his solo stuff and I think there might be some pictures of his weird guitar collection. www.bumblefoot.com.

Velvet Revolver are 100% better than the current gunners, classic Guns & Roses is great music.

Yes, my fav band of all time; songs like Coma, November Rain, Sweet Child o' Mine and Welcome to the Jungle are my personal favs

No album ever has come close to Appetite for Destruction, considering it was their debut album.

The thing is that Appetite for Destruction was not recorded with a Gibson les paul . Slash used a replica made by luthier Chris Derrig . But yeah same thing realy I just thought I would add that piece of useless information for everyone lol .
