Angry No more V8 Supercars for Perth

It's been reported here that the V8's aren't coming this year or any other year. Apparently the pits at Barbagello aren't up to scratch (occ health issues).
Successive governments have failed to address the issue so now we miss out and it's going to Ipswich Qld.
Ah well, it was getting boring anyway. :togo:

good riddance to it !!. it has been going downhill for years. the only difference i noticed last time was a new building for the "haves",a lot of corp marques but the same ol for your average race fan. ie not much (apart from the oh yeah factor of hearing the cars). mr B you **. pcc=boredom central. plenty of room up that way for a new a class track (NOT down kwinana way !)

If any good is to come of this it will be that if we want to get the V8 round back to WA we'll have to offer a street race - I won't hold my breath though :

When it costs the stupid amount it does to get the race here - of course they are going to have to try and recover that cost... and where do they do that best??? With the Corp tents.

Where? 10 (even 5) years ago there were no houses for miles, now there are estates popping up everywhere... Wannas council would be very happy to see the race gone, because that means the track will go soon after and they can then break it up for housing.

It's amazing the amount of damge that the 'Falcon is dead' articles have done.

Half the posters on Perthnow.com.au forum about the Perth V8 race are mentioning that V8 Supercars are going to die out anyway as Ford is about to stop making the Falcon!

Long story cut short thats more or less what happened with oran park, the lure of the almighty dollar. I attended the last V8SC race they had there, it was magic. BEST TRACK IN AUSTRALIA!
