It would be alot harder to convert a AU1 forte to AU2 forte than it would be to convert a AU1 forte to a AU1 Fairmont
the electrical differences between AU1 and 2 is huge. to convert your dash to a AU1 fairmont only requires a heaterbox on dash and a quick trip to ford (to program your new keys to the new dash) more info on the fairmont conversion http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...&postcount=236

the dash will fit no problem but there are differences in the looms. you can transfer the loom from your 1 dash to a two/three, if you then want to use the 2/3 centre fascia as well you will need to relocate some wires to the controls and vacuum lines, heater cable.
