Default FG BASIC AUDIO defaulted to auxiliary !!!

hi I THOUGHT I'D ASK HERE BEFORE I GO TO FORD . the audio during ipod playing , switched to "traffic announcement" when i exited this by pushing the last button directly under the screen , it defaulted to auxiliary , therefore stuck in this mode all the contols dont work related to audio on the ICC or steering wheel . i can plug my ipod in and play it still , but cant get radio, am/fm/ turn power off , cd . or anything, just ipod . or auxiliary.
when the key is out and ignition off audio can be switchd on and everything works . can you think of a fix , or has something gone majorly wrong . ?
sorry to ask but , i have bought from you in the past here , and trust your knowledge over fords . ?
cheers .

the problem has seemed to be resolved . by either / using the 2nd key . all was good . or the fact the car had been switched off overnight .
all appears normal now . if you have any technical info about this i'd love to hear it . cheers .

Very strange - I had the same thing happen in my FG this morning. Was listening to an MP3 CD and it switched to "Traffic Announcement", which took me to a broadcast of a religious radio station in Sydney called Hope FM 103.2...

The screen then locked up and was unable to move from it, but had pulled over and turned car off as I was at my destination. Travelling later this morning, the car did the same thing again, with the same station, but this time exited when I hit the "Exit" button that appeared on the right most button under the display.

Model is a basic March 2010 FG XT and am driving around Wollongong - have never seen any "Traffic Announcements" come up before today- seems strange that it would be the same day as your problem.

Did this happen to anyone else? What was broadcast when your car switched to "Traffic Announcement"?

now we have confirmation , this has happened to me a few times now . and still is . i have learnt how to get around it .
DO NOT press the EXIT button . instead press the MODE button on the steering wheel , this wont freeze the system . it will change back to whatever you were listening too , with normal functions .

go to your ICC, press MENU, press AUDIO, scroll down to PDS press OK and remove ticks from TRAFFIC announcements . i have done this already , and the same thing happened this morning . when i went through the menu again , the TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENTS box was ticked again . i think this is because i unticked it during audio only on without key in ignition . so with igniton on
i have removed it again, before the announcement comes up ( ie straight after startup) and so far so good today . i'll wait and see what eventuates doen the track . but so far so good
the immedieate fix for now is DO NOT HIT THE EXIT BOTTON ,just change the mode on the steering wheel . if you do hit THE EXIT button , and the system freezes , it will stay frozen , so , TURN VEHICLE OFF , REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION , turn on audio without key in ignition , and scroll through menu and untick TRAFFIC announcements , this will reset the system , now start the car and repeat this process quicky with car running , if you dont the traffic announcement will come up again within a minite or two . IT IS A SYDNEY RADIO 103.2 RELIGIOUS STATION !!!
I IMAGINE NOW THIS THREAD WILL BECOME usefull for sydney siders , there must be a new Broadcasting method interfering with the FG ICC .
