Normally they are attached to a bracket welded to the Diff. Or do you mean parachute pack mount on the boot?

Yep pipe through bumper a bar welded across where towbar used to be also hold bumper on.. The inner tube [Two piece] is welded onto spare tyre housing for extra support and the cross brass...
This is a full body car.. The cage is way forward...
