chassis built by Joe, runs 2 Precision 70mm turbo's, water/ice intercooler, runs on Roo16. 60's 1.29-1.30 i think Joe was saying he was looking at some bigger turbo's in the future as these ones are almost on the limit. this thing is an absolute weapon i'm sure it will be doing 200mph passes very soon, it's only a very new combo, i don't think it has done more than 10-15 passes.

the Corty's have a great *** end setup to go fast numbers. PSIDUP went a 7.39@179 recently with a bigger turbo combo.

Amazing times from such a little rear tyre size. Once C&V get a handle on the setup, PSIDEUP should be running low 7's or even high 6's are possible!! Remind me of the good old days with WOG007.

it is crazy, factory style suspension cars running that quick. the thing is with the MSB cars are that they are limited to twin 70mm turbo's or a single 95mm both are capable of pushing out around 16-1800hp. so the times may not come down much more, unless they can find a few chassis tweaks or take some weight out. PSIDUP is very fortunate to have the likes of Burnsy helping him set the car up, he is one of the best in Australia.

the nitrous boys are coming i know alot of them are looking at bigger cubes and bigger shots of NOS, Johnny Habib has a new engine on the way, and the Staunch Racing boys have something up their sleeves also. i'd love to see Stu Henry come out and post a quicker time for us Capri boys

it's funny to see 4 of the 5 Ford's in the Top 15 are turbo cars, only Holden turbo is the Jake Edwards Torana.

1. Joe Gauci 370ci TT Cortina 7.45@194
3. Stu Henry 420ci T Capri 7.68@183
4. PSIDUP 417ci TT Cortina 7.75@185
11. Joe Geri 240ci TT Capri 8.34@165

shocks and leaf-springs can be moved. here is a list of the rules. they are also on the APSA website http://www.austprostassc.com.au/home.shtml

FRAME / CHASSIS

1.1 Front suspensions can be fabricated but must bolt into stock location, fabricated tube control arms and K members permitted, stock front cross members may be scalloped for sump clearance. RRS front suspension is permitted for Falcons and Mustangs. In American bodied vehicles (originally LHD) substitution of local front end of similar design to standard is permitted, i.e. Holden HQ-WB front end in “55-57” Chevrolet. Steering rack conversions permitted.

APSA would like to ensure that all front suspension components are built with safety as paramount in all cases.
ANDRA safety rules apply to all cars.

1.2 Firewall must remain in standard position. Notching for distributor or rocker cover clearance only is permitted. Flat firewalls are permitted but must be in standard location. Chassis rails in engine bays may be chambered to a cross section of 60mm x 60mm or an area equaling to this amount to allow exhaust clearance. All material removed from chassis rails must be replaced with the same thickness material or thicker. This may also be the case for cars needing to notch strut towers in engine bays for pipe clearance. Chassis rails must be in standard location.
1.3 Front struts may be replaced; aftermarket products must bolt up in the factory position.

1.4 Inner rear wheel tubs may be moved inwards, full tub replacement permitted. Chassis connectors are permitted.

1.5 Standard rear suspension points must be used, rear suspension mounts maybe reinforced or fabricated in standard size, shock absorber location can be moved, and leaf springs can be moved inwards.

1.6 Coil over shocks are permitted for tyre clearance.

1.7 Rear chassis rails may be notched for tyre clearance but not moved or rerouted. Inner chassis rail cannot be moved and must remain in factory position. Any metal cut away must be replaced with the same thickness material or thicker. Special permission may be given to existing cars with rails moved if standard points are retained and tyre is within the limits, but must be checked with APSA committee.

1.8 Four links and ladder bars are not permitted.

1.9 Adjustable tubular control arms may be used on rear ends but must retain factory fixed mounting points and suspension set up. Tramp rods, Slapper bars, Caltrac bars or any other similar devices may be used. Anti roll or sway bars permitted.

1.10 Fiberglass panels are restricted to guards, nose cone, bonnet, boot lids and bumpers.

1.11 Lexan /polycarbonate windows permitted all round as per ANDRA specifications.

1.12 Must have some style of dash, original dash board may be replaced by a fabricated dash.
