Default Mk1 Escort Windscreen

Hi,

I've got a mk1 van and need a windscreen, where is a good place to get them. Can you get polycarbonate items or does anyone have a template or drawing?

Thanks

Bugger a really good Mk1 got crushed over here last week, I gave it top a chap believing he was going top restore it, obviously not. I have a MK2 van, I believe the front on these never changed only the grill.
Someone might be able to clarify this but the guards are the same as MK1.
Windscreen would be the same just a long way away.
Cheers, lrt me know how you get on.

I believe all panels from MK1 to MK2 are different including the windscreen, the only thing the same as far as i know is the radiator support and floorpan?

I may have a spare set of bonnet hinges in the shed somewhere that i can sell if i find them lol otherwise maybe try rare spares?

as for a windscreen any windscreen shop should be able to get you one, just shop around for the best price.

cheers

With the coupes and sedans all of the panels are different between Mk1, Mk2 and BC. With the vans it's a bit different. The back half of the van is almost the same, but the front has different panels.

Think I have a pair of bonnet hinges from a Mk1 van in the parts shed. Sadly my dad picked up the windscreen the wrong way and cracked it right down the middle.

EDIT: Just went and had a look. The hinges are there, and to my surprise, there's a Mk1 Escort windscreen there with rubber. Also found a set of dark tint bubble windows for the van's barn style back doors, and 2 brown door trims in good condition. All were taken from my old Mk1 van before the body went to the recycler (VIN plates were stolen while I was building the car). Parts would be pickup only, and I'm in the Kingaroy area.
