Hi I have just joined this forum.
I have a number of different Fords in the driveway and am looking to ad a 1993 Capri. The car I have found ticks all the boxes except it is auto. I want to change it to manual. Has anyone done this before and if so how hard is it?

For conversion, easiest way would be to buy a bent manual car to ensure you get all the bits you need - mechanical and electrical (e.g. loom)
One of the guys in my club has done this, but it is a big job.
IMHO, easier to buy a manual car from the start, and plenty of manual cars around. Just keep looking.
Be mindful the early ones were 3spd auto, with later ones 4spd auto.
AFAIK, all manuals were only 5spd.

the convertable capri's hang out with the rest of the capri's - all under one banner in the Capri Car club

Quite a few members in there have multiple models including MK3 & convertables.....

Thanks Puzzlescort. As luck would have it I don't live far from your meeting venu and know it well. I don't think her indoors would let me expand on whats in the driveway already passed a convertable Capri.
