Hey Guys, I'm off to Echuca in a couple of weeks and want to know the best way to get there via Mildura.
Google maps shows the Murray Valley Hwy via Robinvale as the shortest, but also looking at going via Ouyen then straight across to the Murray Valley Hwy or even down to Sea Lake and then cutting across. If anyone can comment on these options I'd appreciate it. Will be 2 adults and 4 kids in a Prado towing a 6x4 trailer. |

Mildura over the river to Gol Gol, then to Robinvale and head down the Murray Valley Hwy through Swan Hill, Kerang, Cohuna then Echuca.........thats the way I would go.

I was going to say use the river, but it would be against the current

I have driven from Kerang to Echuca this way and have been overtaken by someone sitting on 120ish just outside of Kerang, they went via Cohuna and they overtook me again just before Echuca sitting on the same speed.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the help.
Mildura will be the brekky stop, then Swan Hill to stretch the legs and then to Echuca, so no need to stop at Cohuna if the kids don't whinge too much. Last edited by smally289; 16-09-2012 at 10:17 PM. |

Ok cool, do you see where the turn off is? The road bends left and you keep going straight.

For the break in Swan Hill drop in at Spoons. Good coffee & it's on a river branch off the Murray (right next to the pioneer village - one block parallel to the hwy). Good views to keep the kids happy.
