Default FPV premises auction

Hi All,

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but this was forwarded to me via the local FPV owners club:

http://www.dominionauctioneers.com.a...x.php?id=33727

Seems FPV are cleaning everything out in one go.

Its old news that Ford bought out Prodrives share and was moving it back to the factory.
You dont keep equipment that will be doubled up on wasting space and funds if you want to stay in business.

I guess because its the end on an era. How much future FPV has under Ford ownership, who knows...

the sky is falling all is lost. really this is old news and is just the next stage in Ford resuming 100% control of FPV .
this is not a matter of killing off FPV it is selling off redundant equipment as a result of the move of FPV to the parent factory.
this is far more efficient than half building cars and shipping them off to be completed

Who wants to make their 335 the closest thing to a HO that you will ever see?

No.. I think you will find these are the bolt on bits to make a 335...

All the HO stuff would have been dumped back at Ford.

Seems very straight forward.

I couldn't help but laugh at how Australian and 'budget' the FPV shop was. They had a VCR in the lunch room it seems. VCR. When FPV started... could you still buy VCR's? And a smokers shack. . Item No# 141. Wheelbarrow.

Sure it's the end of an era, and a bit sad. But I think that Ford's performance arm should have always been at the factory. And will probably be way cooler.

Not sure how many of you guys made in down to the auction

I must say, for an auction, not many bargain buys at all!!!!

LukeGTs factory is just around the corner so we headed down for a sticky beak. Learner just us from Geelong also.

We did not leave empty handed. We managed to snag the 2 FPV - home of the GT signs out the front. Luke and I are both very pleased with the purchase.

Funnily enough Luke and I both wanted the sign but it wasnt listed for sale

We commented on it earlier in the day

Luckily we were with the auctioneer as we passed it and he says lets sell these as well

$250 + 12.5% = $280 odd

Very happy indeed

One oval fpv sign with Ford performance vehicles lettering underneath went for $1200

One oval FPV sign with no letters went for $600

Last oval sign with some letters pulled around $750 odd

Framed prints 250-450 each for the good ones

Tools were mostly pulling good $. A vice got north of $400 I think, Luke will correct me if i am wrong!

Some pictures for the masses

above went for $80

Wheels not for sale either George.

There were some reject 5.0 blocks there. I would have paid good coin for one to make into a coffee table. Not for sale :(
