Hi all
Yesterday I received a call from the (Melbourne) Ford dealer that I bought my G6ET from in 2009 to advise that the Ford (employee) Family and Friends offer was back on. But I haven't seen anything on here - especially from employees - about it and I'm not keen to show interest without being sure of the facts/T&Cs etc. If this is true that's great news and I'd seriously consider signing up for a newbie. Like last time, its for Australian built Fords only (ie Falcon and Territory range) and excludes the FPVs (shame, I would go for a GS or GT in a heartbeat rather than simply refreshing my G6ET). So does anyone know anything more about this? Any letters circulating and up for grabs? Cheers Dean |

It's definately on with prices set at $2000 above Ford staff pricing. Just need an employee to sponsor you and they can send you the email contains T&C's, pricing etc. You take the paperwork to a dealer and they will get Ford approval instead of Ford HR needing to approve it beforehand. It's a very good deal.

I just saw it on the notice board at work.
Which means I have 2 available for anyone that wants one. Employee discount is 21% on Falcon and Territory, so it will be that discount plus $2000, but only applies to certain vehicles, which I think are 2012 plated Falcon, Territory and Kuga. FPV's excluded. |

If it's on for a new Ranger, I wouldn't mind one

The program is effective from April 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013 on the following new Ford vehicles:
FG MKII Falcon Sedan up to and including March 31 2013 FG MKII Falcon Uteup to and including March 31 2013 SZ Territoryup to and including March 31 2013 TE Ford Kuga up to and including December 31 2012 As Bossxr8 stated, the example in the email says you can potentially have an FG auto XR6 (Feb 2013 build) for just under $28K plus ORC after negotiating with a Ford dealer. I think you might be jumping the gun. Don't confuse discount with overall profit margin. Selling a few more cars will just be helping to cover the bills

Look at how excited everyone is already.. They may not be making much money at all, but it's an attempt to sell more new cars.

Few questions, * Is the discount from the RRP (which i'd expect) or current driveaway deals? * Is it a national promotion or Victoria only? * Is it an actual flat discount percent? * Or is there a pricelist of vehicles? Can someone PM me please.

Its a shame Ford don't extend this to the V8's, now that FPV is just a Ford brand and Prodrive don't have to be considered. There are a few older stock models sitting around and I reckon a discount like this would really help move some of that stock.

Keep in mind this is on 2013 up to March build, so what ever dealers have or what Ford already have built sitting on grass, if there is nothing around in a certain spec e.g pink XR6 with purple trim and needs to be built it won't count.

I am looking to buy a new Territory Titanium turbo diesel RWD but have not been able to come up with the money to do it. I have been looking at 2nd hand ones but if someone knows of a ford employee that has one of these discount allowances and does not want to use it than i would be more than willing to buy a new car. I think that the more cars that they can sell the better. We should be encouraging everybody to use this offer or pass it on to someone they know to use this offer. It sounds like ford is trying to stimulate some new vehicle sales to help keep the volume up and eliminate the need to reduce its workforce like Holden. I hope that plenty of people take up this offer as its a very good deal and in some cases is the only time that some could afford a new car and support Ford Australia.

I'd be interested in how much cheaper the XR6 Turbo's are over the $39,490 driveaway they're promoting them for at the moment.

Thanks all, this has given me something to really think about. Nice new G6ET MkII for about $20K changeover on my current one, or hold on to the current one for a while longer...
And I would strongly encourage all Forum members to consider this offer, if the deal is similar to last time where I paid $44K instead of the $56K RRP for it's THE best no-hassle deal you will find anywhere for a great car. |

Is there any chance of a price list? Might have a chat to the missus to see if she might want a newer car.

Our G6ET is also coming up to the end of it's lease. Was just going to pay out the residual and keep it, but this F&F pricing makes a new one very attractive.
Will this be restricted to Victorian dealers again?
