Along with the usual highlights this Wednesday’s race4real has some very special guests taking part in the regular burnout display.
From 9pm the drag strip will disappear behind a wall of smoke as rear tyres are vaporised by these four wheeled power plants. MELTEM, a KE55 Corolla that’s come a long way from its original 60hp, now sporting a supercharged LS1 with no shortage of power. SMURF, a rear wheel drive Daihatsu Charade filled with 6L of blown GM goodness. The short wheel base and big power makes for an incredible display. GUSBOY, the trusty Hilux has given in tradie duties in favour of tyre shredding thanks to its naturally aspirated LS1. SOFRYD, Holden Gemini’s have been losing traction since their release 1975. This green machine is continuing that legacy with a helping hand from its 5.7L v8 engine.
