Default LT Focus ABS Pump Sensor

My son has a 2007 LT Zetec hwihc has the ABS Traction Control light illuminated on teh dash. It went to a local (rural) dealer and we were told it was a problem with the ABS module and to replace was $900. Got a second opinion from a well known Chadstone Ford dealer yesterday and we got told the original diagnosis was wrong and it is actually the ABS Pump Sensor which requires a complete new uit at a cost of $3,800. The cost quoted is half of what we paid for the car!! Has anyone else had any experience with this problem.
