Hi.
I’m trying to fix some issues in my sons 2008 Fiesta, 1.6. The photos are of the engine bay and the relay box near the battery case. The A/C works perfect when the car is driving along. Good The compressor works perfect. Good The gas level is perfect. Good BUT when the car is stationary the A/C doesn’t start the engine fan to cool the A/C radiator. The engine fan works normally when the engine needs cooling, so the fan is ok. What need to find out, is what is not working to trigger the engine fan when the A/C needs it to work. |

The engine fan isn't used to cool the A/C condensor at idle or any other time. With some vehicles the A/C compressor is deactivated at idle by the use of a solenoid but I've not ever seen one that used the radiator fan to cool the A/C condensor - the refrigerant inside is far colder anyway.
Cheers Russ

engine fan can be triggered by the pressure switch on the refrigerant line so I'd check that first (if there is one)
