Default Severe Weather Warning [NSW]

Id thought id give every one a heads up, but you probably already now this

http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN65156.shtml

It absolutely vicious here at the moment with absolutely insane wind squalls and it looks like me might get some hail.

So anyone in the Sydney/Central Coast or the Hunter might think about finding some cover for their cars.

The weather hit here (Hunters Hill) a bit over an hour ago the winds were/are massive & the temperature dropped very suddenly but luckily we didn't have any hail here but the rain was very heavy.

North Sydney had a bit of a gust before and a bit of rain, its pretty clear looking over the harbour at the moment. Can just Kurnell at the other side of Botany bay. About an hour ago we couldn't see much, just all a white haze.

I got a little bit of hail here, but apparently at West Gosford they got pelted down big time.

The cold change arrived in time this afternoon, the wind gusts helped to whip up a bit of a bushfire earlier today and Wentworth Falls was covered in smoke for a while. And it's only November...

The clouds look threatening but just sitting there keeping a nice cool breeze happening. Glorious relief.

Thanks for the heads up Fairlaine!

At the risk of sounding like a complete nerd, that hot air would of been perfect for hail....

Hail is created when rain falls high in the atmosphere, but an updraft (hot air rising... ) pushes the water back up into the clouds making it superchilled a.k.a ice :P

We didn't get much here. Luckily I was home and my baby was tucked up in it's garage anyway, but there was some wind, and a bit of rain, but it was all over in about 10 mins.
