That actually looks awesome. Ford should've made an E-Series Ute. Last edited by Steffo; 05-02-2005 at 08:06 PM. |

I think you will find that this particular car is a Hillier conversion.

Lets spend all that money on the exterior yet leave that 3speed (Cfi motor I bet too) turd in it
An XH is pretty much the same thing and you could get an XR8 for less than that.

I think that car is made for people who are into one off, 'concepts' if you will, and that justifies the price.

Very nice custom EA.
But you have to wonder some peoples thinking. As cheap as EA's are.... Why on earth base it on a 3 speed slush'o'matic and a Carby 4.1????!!!!!! Not that there was such an engine in EA anyway.... A lot of money would have been puumped into that, its a real shame the running gear is such a let down. _

Looking at the rear overhang I suspect it may have been based on a wheelchair taxi. Then again Hilliers could have done that too. Looks pretty good, you wonder whether the guys at Ford had the AU ute ideas years earlier and were denied the chance to use them.

I'm confused. What's a 4.1 Carby motor that has fuel injection?? makes me wonder if it is based on an XF/EA hybrid.
Wouldn't mind some interior shots though!

Its not too bad but its just a chop of so many cars in one. Would be ok if they worked the engine and gearbox but they still cant justify the 24k price tag.
It looks like they are trying to recover all the money they have lost for the price they want you could get your self into a BA rather then a ea/ef/wagon/ute/xr. |

It's different. I'm not sure I personally like the front. But if there's someone out there willing to fork out the cash for it, then good for them.

A bit pricey, but it looks a hell of a lot nicer than an XH ute.

it is the hilliers ute..
i fell in love with it when i first saw it... ford should've used the wagon tail lights all along instead of using the 'invented in 1979' style on utes until AU. tho not so sure about it now.... anyway, the rear glass is from a commo ute. Last edited by clampy; 06-02-2005 at 01:11 PM. |

It looks ok to me. A lot of work has gone in the car as it is finish off well. But I do think it is overprice.

looks very nice.
if it were cheaper it would be great to buy and stick a hi-po engine/driveline in it. then you'd have a kickass streeter that no one else has....
