What stuff are you using to clean your e-series machine for All Ford Day?
Here's what I'm using atm, but we should make a list of the best of the best with cleaning products and car care! - Bucket of warm water / detergent - Big blue sponge - Kenco synthetic chamois - Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss - Mothers Back-to-Black - Kitten Tyre Shine (works ok, not great) - Yuk Off Tyre and Bumper Sheen (haven't used yet, but recommended by Yagz)

Instead of Scratch X try Meguires paint Cleaner, works a treat.
WHat are you all using on the interior?

Everyone except Dan :hihi: It'll be interesting to see if he actually does wash it lol : Providing I get enough time on Saturday, I'll be washing mine first, then going over it with Autoglym Fine cut cleaner and a rotary buff. Hopefully it'll get all the tree sap stains out. Then after that, put a bit of Meguiars yellow wax on it.....mmmmm shiny. Oh and Autosol the wheels. Lookin' forward to that one.........NOT. |

Hey, does anyone know where you can still purchase "Paint Doctor"? It comes in a big toothpaste-like tube. It's the best product I've used, but the Super Crap Auto near me doesn't seem to stock it anymore :(

I just washed it with $6 Armor All Wash and Wax and used a $3 chamois to wipe it down. Came up a treat, could have something to do with the new paint : I also put on some $3 K-mart brand tyre shine. Did all that last night and hopefully tomorrow I'll finish putting the interior back together and fix up the head unit.
Engine bay? Hahahaha ....nup. Send that shit down to forensics. Sundeep |

Also, last year I washed the car the night before (it rained that night but that's beside the point), the thing was covered in bugs by the time I got to Geelong. Might be worth blasting them off when you get down there and quickly chamoising it off.

You can get a silicon spray from bunnings that does the same trick, makes tyres shine better than new. $5 a can from memory.

Yeah, when it comes to washing I sponge it and chuck water on it with a darn watering can. Then....if I have the energy after that...I'll wax it and buff it up. But mostly sponge and chuck! ...water :P

I can get that silicone stuff that detailers use. I think it's about $40 for 5 litres or so. If anyone wants some let me know, or otherwise maybe I could buy it and then anyone who wants to use it pitches in a couple of dollars each??

This is my Washing techniques on the EA
* hose off entire car * High Pressure under car * High Pressure / Degrease Engine bay with "3 in 1 Degreaser" (If you havent used that stuff, DO SO ITS GREAT!) * wash car with Polyglaze Wash n Wax twice * Hose off * Shamois entire car * Polish car with TURTLEWAX COLOUR CURE (LOL if anyone has seen my paint its well.. faded a little) * Polish entire car with Polyglaze Wax * Steam Clean Interior * Clean interior with Polyglaze Interior cleaner * Tyre Shine tyres with Polyglaze Tyre Foam (that stuff says on for about 2 weeks) * Windex windows that normaly leaves the car clean and nice for couple of weeks unless I get stuck parking in the Dirt carpark at work (Damn primary schools)

How can you all afford to waste the water on hosing it down and using high pressure to clean everything? Here in the Sydney/Blue Mountains area I have to use a friggin WATERING CAN. Do you know how hard it is to blast the crap off your car with a watering can??? I keep cleaning my rolla, but no matter how much I buff she doesn't turn into an EL.
