Thumbs up V8 Supercar Tipping this year - UPDATED

Damn I was looking forward to doing the Tipping again this year but when i went to the site I was disappointed to see this:

Quote:
We regretfully announce that this year, V8 Tipping, will not be running.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope to come back bigger and better in 2007.

It's a reasonably simple thing to set up so I'll see what can be done.

Cheers

If you cant get the tipping going, you could always go into a Virtual Team Comp....

Choose Car & Driver etc... up to a pre determined limit. Cant just load up all the Sucessful drivers. ? Its not open for 2006 yet, but should be soon.

Check this link out:

Sportal V8 Dream Team

If the tipping does get happening, could run this as a side show potentially also!

Looks like they have just opened up their doors for this years comp! And all entries need to be received prior to 2:30pm Sydney Time.

V8 Supercar's Dream Team

If anyone wants to enter, during the registration process, you type in this league code: 740851

No special passwords apart from the league code.

Good Luck & Go Lowndesy!

Must place tips this year. Must place tips.
Maybe that is why I'm not super buzzed about the season. No tips to place.

I look forward to seeing what Russ can make happen for us.

Ok.

It's quick and it's dirty at the moment but the tipping basics have been developed thanks to the good work of one of my guys (thanks Phil).

At the moment it only has capability to enter a 1st, 2nd, 3rd for the round win and there is no capability to change your tips after they are entered although we'll try to get that completed by the next round.

Entries will always close at midnight on the Friday before the round and the software will use your forum user ID to identify you so there is no need to login seperately for it.

Post any bugs you find in here and we;ll try to get them resolved as quick as we can.

The link to the tipping page can be found HERE.

Good luck to all entrants. Please note that you will have to JOIN the comp the first time you enter but that only requires a single click.

There will be some prize incentives for this years comp - I don't know what yet but we will come up with something.

Cheers
Russ
