Default What was your first NEW car

In a similar vein to the "who is the oldest here" thread.

What was the first NEW car you owned.

Mine was a Pine Lime (yellow) XC Falcon Panel Van, 4 speed, 4.1 I6, white vinyl and horizontal tailgate in 1977.

Ah those were the days, no mobile radar, no random breath tests, no videos and no chance of missing out at drive in theatres

First new car would also be my first and current car (many bad childhood experiences with the used cars my folks went through).

1997 Daewoo Cielo : which I later wrote off and replaced with my 2001 AUII. Daewoo was being sold by Ford at the time and in my defence it came with scheduled servicing and a toy cattle dog.

Traded my ZF Fairlane ( green with parchment roof & 302) on a new XB GS auto ute (blue i6) in '76. Since then I've always saved a bit by buying cars that are around 12 months old.

That is until 9 days time when the new F6 arrives. Just couldn't resist, and not the type of car to buy 2nd hand, in my opinion.

My Phantom BA XR8 was my first NEW car. Very nice car, but lost money hand over fist at sale time. Bugger that initial depreciation!
