Ring them up and ask. If there is a problem with availability of bookings try a few different offices. One of my mates at school was doing his test at 8:30 on the morning of his birthday, can't beat that

I know that a few of my mates booked a few months in advance, and they booked a few dates, so if they didn't pass the first time, they could go to the next date. And if they did pass, they could cancel without penalty (Im not sure how much notice you have to give them, check into it).
P.S This was with QLD Transport, not sure if it the same interstate

You can do your hazard perception test when your 17 and 11 months, you can book your P's 2 months before the test at the earliest IIRC. If you want em on your b'day i'd recommend booking them now!
Don't book them too early in the morning or too late in the afternoon, try to aviod peak hour traffic.

Yea , not too late in the afternoon , you generally find if the examiners have had a rough day , mmmmm , mate of mine went late PM "6" times (examiner was VERY tense), 7th time 9.30 am and got it after a short trip (different examiner and was quite relaxed)
I got my licence 8.30 am on the morning of my B/day (1st go) wasn't going to wait any longer :nutsycuck

OK. In qld you required to have l's for 6 months then you can put your booking in for p's test.
Easiest way to do it book into a small country town. This way they have to come to u and cant normal have problems with over boooking or taking over a month to get in. Back when i did it i booked 4 weeks before hand

Just go to some out-of-the-way place.. might seem like a hassle but for example, if you're in sydney you just drive to katoomba, about 1.5hrs a way, and 99% of the time you can walk in, no booking. Just call up beforehand to make sure you don't catch that 1% of the time :P

And have a look at a map for all school zones in the area. I passed a bloody small school i didn't know existed and got done for speeding in a school zone. Totally my own fault, I missed the sign, but yea, be aware of them.

I dont see where this thread required you to comment on peoples spelling ability.
I wouldnt stress too much mate just call a few weeks in advance, i think they are usually booked out for 2 weeks in advance something like that.

OK we need to give the grammar lessons a rest and the personal insults that come with it.
Before you post, this thread topic is about P plates, if anyone wishes to start a grammar thread do it in the appropriate forum.

YOUR wrong it was a mix of poor spelling and sms...so when you can differentiate between the two then you can post. Oh and as an aside very bad use of the English language!

Most places around here have a 6 week waiting list (Burwood East etc). I went out to Yarra Junction to do mine, it's booked out for longer as they only do one day, but I had a good instructor up there and it's a relaxed test. I still did reverse park (backing up a hill too)/parallel park, handbrake starts etc, so it's not like it was necesarily easier.. Just less traffic/no lane changes and all that. BTW - I got 100% too =D Beat the old man, which was good. Good luck with it all! |
