Default au sedan doors and ute doors??

are they the same door for each car???
im trying to gety hold of a passenger door for an au ute, can i use an au sedans passenger door??

The fronts would have to be the same or else it would've cost Ford a packet to make the AU.

series 1 & early series 2 doors are the same
late series 2 & series 3 doors are the same.

you can pick this by the bailey channel rubbers.
the early ones have a 1 piece rubber and the later ones a 3 piece rubber.
there are extra provisions on the late doors for the rubbers to clip on.
If you try and use the 1 piece rubber on a late door it wont sit correctly

ivbe done heaps of research on this and have found the following.......
front doors are the same throughout
wagon and fairlane rear doors are the same
door cards are the same troughout.....ie long wheel base rear door cards will fit sedan rear doors

so to answer your question, yes, you can get AU sedan/wagon front door to fit the ute, everything will swap right over if you have power windows and the door you buy has wind up.
