Ok so my AU3 is lowered by with pedders, its has a Camber kit installed, I pulled the front left tyre off yesty to work on the brakes n ive noticed that i have wear on the inside of the tyre, about 1 inch wide and has almost worn to the material, and isnt a uniforn wear all the way round.
I had a gander underneath and all i can figure is it is rubbing on the top control arm (dont quote me on terminology here), this confused the hell out of me cause isnt it supposed to be moving with the rest of the suspension and as such wouldnt rub like it has?!?!?!?!, anyone had this problem, or recommends a way to rectify may help PS. its not negative camber either, and is only on the front left |

the only thing that I could see that it could rub on is the upper control arm, it lines up perfectly to where its wearing but i cant figure why it would because its meant to move up n down as does the suspension

camber isn't the only thing that will wear the inner edge. What is your toe in measurement? Sounds like yours could be toeing out.

If there is a problem they will tell you. This is not something that you can fix yourself. |

Just got a suspension check done by pedders on my eb and they said it was fine.Well i got home and jacked it up to find the upper control arm bushes almost completely gone with about 10mm play.I rung them back and they said it was hard to tell if they are ****** without pulling it apart so they just ticked it off as fine coz its easier for them, too bad he said. id say pedders has ****** up again with your car coz they employ monkeys to do their mechanical work and probably pay them peanuts also :togo:

I went to Wholesale Suspension at Penrith and they put mine on a suspension tester on a 4-post hoist and showed me where my ball joint was stuffed and also showed how old my control arm bushes were. Very comprehensive indeed.
And their alignment guy took the time to do my alignment properly. Asking me all sorts of questions on my tye of driving ... how much load I cary in the back ... what sort of roads I travel along .. etc. In the end .. I was impressed with the alignment (and the work done by them as well) The ute has never driven so nice and smooth on the road since I have owned it :hihi:

It'll be wheel alignment, almost certain. I'd go to the local tyre place, buy a new set of fronts, keep the good tyre for a spare, and have an alignment done at the same time.
Wouldn't trust pedders as far as I can throw them, too many bad stories! Don't go to Ford for a wheel alignment either, they are just as bad! |
