My band just got back a couple of the songs we recorded on Monday for our new CD. We recorded the songs in our house in just a few hours and on an almost non existant budget - have a listen to them at http://www.myspace.com/wisegents

Thanks guys! Yeah our influences are pretty varied, people have compared this recording to everything from Blink 182, Green Day, Dream Theater, Linkin Park and now Alexisonfire and Black Sabbath.... haha a bit of everything. Yeah we recorded on the most minimal equipment and did everything in no more than 3 takes - we weren't looking for a perfect sound we think rock n roll needs to be raw and energetic...

Good to hear you guys are still rockin'.
The EP you sent me has been a regular part of our playlist ever since, and after I started up the rock station last year it's been getting airplay there too. Well done.

Hey man, nice work.
One question, do you guys pull off those vocals live? Cos from the sound of it the singer's done all the backing vox too? Sounds like you could almost benefit from a second guitarist in the band too with the double tracks. Good sound though, vocalist has a pretty unique sound going on there (not sure what part you play in the band), digging the earlier 90's pop/punk influences of offspring etc (paused) smash to listen to you guys. Good luck, and I hope you dont get thrown into the emo bin with a lot of bands who shouldn't be labelled it (seems every band that's punk/hard rock lately is been called emo..)! |

Yeah popinfresh, we're actually on the search for a second guitarist and vocalist at the moment, we will probably start auditioning in the next few weeks because we are keen to get the harmonies and backing vocal stuff nailed live.
