Default XC bonnet on an AU

Browsing ebay and saw a pic of an AU at this auction with an XC (I think) bonnet. It looks bloody nice on the AU.

PICS HERE

That looks really good.. makes it look a hell of a lot tougher. Ive got a mate with a XD-ish pano and he's done the same thing to his bonnet... that looks good too

That would have to be the worst looking AU I have ever seen. By a LONG shot. :

Overall. It just looks, ummm, words escape me... busy, tacky....

The AU is a very hard shape to modify tastefully. The only ones that I can see who have manage to pull it off are Tickford themselves. The T series look good. But is VERY difficult to pull off.

Minimalistic styling is the way to go for a good looking AU. Just take a look in the Show'n'shine section. Some very nice looking AU's in there. I particularly like "LG's" (?) AU. Very nice and clean. If he removed the body side strips it would improve it yet again.

The XC bonnet scoops make it look a bit like a new Monaro - that makes the XC 30 years ahead of the Monaro with the bonnet scoops! Damn copycats

The hawk body kit(?) dosnt do it any justice...but I think the scoops look better than some other bonnet scoops ive seen on recently released cars lately.....

I've seen this done to a lot of other car bonnets. On some it looks good (one an escort, and one datsun ute), and on others it looks crap.

That bonnet is quite creative, and if painted would suit the grille I reckon.

Eyelids & front grille are god awful! I'd go for a AUI Forte over that car, but I'd go for that car over a new Monaro (UGLY scoops!!!)

I like it (the bonnet, that is) - it's different and is not like others who just follow the crowd. But then I have ricer lights, so what do I know? :

Its actually for sale on aufalcon.com for about $650.

Personally, I can think of other things to spend that on but whatever floats your boat I guess.

To me I think its horrid and an abomination of a good shape.
