Honestly? Yuck. But it's your car. Actually, the style is OK, just all that chrome is what makes me sick!

its just for ideas for the time being. just i dont think the 17's are big enough on the au's and i think chrome will look good with the colour. hmm id like to see them on in real life ofcourse before i make final decision.

lol you can say that again, 17's are way to small for an Au unless the car is extremely low(scrubbing on the road)!!! low.

i prefer a sportier looking rim on the AU XRs
like the XHP Jet type rim or somthing with just thinner spokes

Shame Shame Shane, you have hanging around that other ricer guy to much mate (that bloke in the black ghia i think it is), now here's a set of slush puppies that would look tougher, even a black centre would work well with your car. All good

Obviously a tyre rotation with those rims would be easily out of the question!

glad i seen those ones on your car blackers, definatley changes it, they suit your car, but i dont think that chrome would suit mine. in my photochop the wheels are like a white chrome, which suits the car, but in real life i think on the xr they would look horrid.

Didn't think they were.. its hard to tell because theres so many varietys of impuls. You can get them without the dish, in chrome, black, white etc.. mind you they look horrible without the dish.

I have just fallen in love with the latest offering from FPV myself. The new Force rims, i believe they are 19"x8" and in shadow chrome look SEXY!! I wonder if they are available yet?

A guy had some in the show us ya BA thread, they were 18's though and the dish sorta looked polished. They were definately impuls though, he got them from tempe. Mines got the shadow centres, i've seen them in full chrome and i thought they looked a bit tacky.

Too bling for an XR8. Suits the Fairlane, but definitely NOT on the Tickford.

If you want to go chrome, then the ones DOC put up look good, or something like mine.

I dont personally tend to like chrome but I am actually fairly fond of mine.

Whatever you like though. My car is going to be painted pink, I know I will get criticised for that. But if you want them, do it, dont let a bunch of (mainly) anonymous people on the internet tell you otherwise! :P

P.S Sorry, just realised you have already decided not to get the ones you originally posted, what is your inclination now? pic?

There was another thread by Chrispie123 who was looking at getting a set of 19" Koya's on his AU Forte. Nice clean looking 5 spoke rims. Would really suit your car I reckon.

EDIT: Here's the thread http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=81942
