Hi there.
I am looking to replace a noisy fuel pump module on my BA 2005 xr6. Any recommendations re brand/type and where I might purchase it online? My mechanic is making noises like $400-00 plus and 1 1/2 hr fitment? From what I have seen, it appears to be a fairly straight forward replacement. Cheers. |

Here is a listing for a Delphi pump on ebay.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-...097963927#rwid Not a difficult job, as you prob know there is info here plus vids on ebay. Make sure fuel level is low before doing it, remove rear seat, remove elec connector, remove fuel lines with the right tool (i blast the connectors with wd-40, they seem to come off easier plus it cleans dirt/dust out) , undo screws, remove pump. make sure the seal is sitting right when reassembling because the fuel level is higher than the pump on BA's when the tank is filled past a certain point. |

I think the pump linked to Ebay is an inferior model to the one I had found.
Hence the difference in price. There appears to be 2 models, , Fuelmiser FPE 354 which is $219-00 at Repco whereas the fuelmiser genuine Delphi , FPE 354G is listed for 393.00. I hope it's not noisy as suggested by one poster. That's the reason I am changing it. |

I havent used that less expensive delphi pump on a BA so couldnt tell ya, but have on an AU ute. Doesnt seem too noisy in that, but its not the same pump obviously.
The ebay listing i linked to is showing 175 for me posted. |
